- How long does the installation take?
ONE day for garage floors.
- Is acid etching sufficient to prepare my floor for epoxy?
No, mechanical abrasion is the only prep which will stand the test of time.
- What is your warranty?
Irondrive now offers a lifetime warranty! We warranty that your residential garage floor will not peel or delaminate as long as you own and reside in your home. Please contact Irondrive for details.
- How does the sun affect epoxy?
All epoxies with prolonged exposure to sunlight will eventually fade or chalk. We always apply a UV stable topcoat. No Exceptions.
- Should I just use the DIY products?
We can refer you to my neighbor who had us recoat his DIY floor after 2 years. The shine was off and it was heavily stained. The DIY products have a tendency to fail under hot tires. Our products are industrial grade.
- Is it a good idea to put decorative chips in the final coat of urethane?
No. The decorative chips need to be protected. We always will apply a protective topcoat over decorative chips.
